Swingback vs UserVoice

UserVoice publishes no prices, has no free plan, and says most teams launch in 4 to 6 weeks. Swingback has its prices on this page and a free plan you can start today.

UserVoice's prices and features as its own pages showed them on September 29, 2026.

Why teams choose Swingback over UserVoice

  • 01

    Prices you can read

UserVoice quotes every plan through sales, by feedback volume and tools. Swingback's prices are on this site: free to start, and Pro when you need it.

  • 02

Live today, not in six weeks

UserVoice says most teams launch in 4 to 6 weeks. With Swingback, a workspace, its boards and its public portal take minutes to set up, on your own.

  • 03

    AI triage included

UserVoice sells its AI as an add-on package. Swingback's tagging, duplicate suggestions and moderation come with both plans.

  • 04

    More feedback never costs more

UserVoice prices its plans by feedback volume, tools and integrations. Swingback's plans include unlimited customers, posts and votes.

What UserVoice has that Swingback doesn't

Migration

Move from UserVoice to Swingback

Bring your feedback with you, then switch when you're ready.
  1. Step 1

    Export from UserVoice

    • In UserVoice's ideas grid, click the cloud icon and choose Export dataset. An Analysis Export (Ideas & Voters) gives one row per vote, with the voter's id, name, email and account traits; choose CSV.
    • Export comments from the Activity Feed (select Comments, then Export), and users from More, Users & Accounts (up to 50,000 records).
    • Or use the Admin API (Premium): suggestions, supporters (votes), comments, users and statuses, with a trusted API key from Settings, Integrations.
    • Export before you cancel: UserVoice deletes a deactivated account's data after 60 days.
  2. Step 2

    Import into Swingback

Upload each CSV file, and match its columns to the fields: the importer suggests the matches, and you check them.

Every import starts with a dry run that shows what it will create. Boards, statuses and tags map to yours, and running it again adds only what's new: import once to try, and again on the day you switch.

  3. Step 3

    Switch over

Replace UserVoice's widget with Swingback's, and move your feedback domain to your portal (a custom domain is on Pro).

Then announce the move in your first changelog entry, so your customers know where to find you.
