Comparison
Swingback vs Upvoty
Upvoty's pricing keeps the API, webhooks, end-user sign-in and MCP for its $49 Hyper plan. Swingback signs your users in and sends webhooks on every plan, free included.
Upvoty's prices and features as its own pages showed them on October 21, 2026.
Why teams choose Swingback over Upvoty
- 01
Your users signed in, on every plan
Upvoty's pricing page puts custom SSO on Hyper, $49 a month. Swingback signs your users in with a token your server signs, or with your own sign-in page, on every plan.
- 02
Webhooks without the top plan
Upvoty's API and webhooks come with Hyper. Swingback's webhooks come with every plan, and Pro adds the REST API and the MCP server.
- 03
A free plan, not a trial
Upvoty has a 14-day trial, then costs from $15 a month. Swingback's Free plan has no time limit, with three boards and three team members.
- 04
GitHub issues, synced both ways
Upvoty's native integrations send engineering work to Jira and Linear, and leave GitHub to Zapier or its API. Swingback creates or links GitHub and Linear issues from a post, and keeps their statuses and comments in step both ways, on every plan.

What Upvoty has that Swingback doesn't

Migration
Move from Upvoty to Swingback
- Step 1
Export from Upvoty
- Upvoty's features page describes one-click CSV exports of posts, voters, comments and activity, which a workspace's admins can run. Its public pages don't say where the export starts in the app, so ask Upvoty's support if you can't find it.
- Export posts, voters and comments. According to Upvoty, the files carry every visible column, your custom fields and stable ids, with ISO 8601 dates in UTF-8.
- Or read posts, comments, votes, boards, users and tags through Upvoty's REST API, which its pricing page keeps for Hyper.
- Step 2
Import into Swingback
Upload each CSV file, and match its columns to the fields: the importer suggests the matches, and you check them.
Every import starts with a dry run that shows what it will create. Boards, statuses and tags map to yours, and running it again adds only what's new: import once to try, and again on the day you switch.
- Step 3
Switch over
Replace Upvoty's widget with Swingback's, and move your feedback domain to your portal (a custom domain is on Pro).
Then announce the move in your first changelog entry, so your customers know where to find you.

About this comparison
Everything said here about Upvoty comes from its own website, as it was on October 21, 2026. Prices and plans change: check Upvoty's pages before you decide.
Upvoty's pages disagree about which plan includes what: its features page says every feature is on every plan, and its pages on the API, webhooks, Slack, Linear, Microsoft Teams and Zapier say the same of theirs, while its pricing page reserves the API, webhooks, SSO and MCP for Hyper, and the changelog, all integrations and removing its branding for Super. This page follows the pricing page.
Upvoty's help center (help.upvoty.com) didn't load when we checked, and its knowledge base on Crisp holds a single article, about moving from Upvoty v1, so the export steps come from its data exports page.
