Comparison
Swingback vs Productboard
Productboard's pricing page shows no price: both its plans start at five makers, sold through a demo or its sales team. Swingback's prices are on this page, with a free plan you can start today.
Productboard's prices and features as its own pages showed them on October 21, 2026.
Why teams choose Swingback over Productboard
- 01
Prices you can read
Productboard's pricing page shows no price for either plan: you request a demo for Business and contact sales for Enterprise. Swingback's prices are on this site: start on Free today, and move to Pro when you need it.
- 02
Priced per workspace, not per maker
Productboard charges for each maker, the product managers who own the roadmap, and both its plans start at five. Swingback's plans cover your team for one price: up to 20 people on Pro, and three on Free.
- 03
Your customers' ideas, in the open
Productboard's portal shows cards your team picks from its product hierarchy: customers rate each one and see how many voted but not what others wrote, and their own ideas land in your workspace. On Swingback, customers post their requests on public boards, where everyone can vote and comment.
- 04
Your brand without Enterprise
Removing Productboard's badge from the portal takes Enterprise. On Swingback Pro, your portal runs on your domain without our name.

What Productboard has that Swingback doesn't
Worth knowing before you choose, if you need one of these.
- Spark, an AI agent that writes specs, briefs and competitive analyses
- Roadmaps, releases and prioritization formulas
- Feedback from Zendesk, Intercom, Gong, Microsoft Teams, app store reviews and email
- Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello and Shortcut integrations
- SAML sign-in, SCIM and Salesforce (Enterprise)
Migration
Move from Productboard to Swingback
- Step 1
Export from Productboard
- Portal votes reach Productboard as feedback, linked to the item on the card. Signed in as a maker, open https://YOUR_WORKSPACE.productboard.com/api/notes/export?export_type=with_features&strip_html=true: Productboard emails you a link to the CSV.
- Export features, with their status and custom fields, from https://YOUR_WORKSPACE.productboard.com/api/features/export. For companies and users, set a grid board's item type to Companies (and Users as the second), then choose More actions, Export as CSV.
- Or read everything through API v2 (https://api.productboard.com/v2) with a token from Settings, Integrations, Public APIs.
- No single export covers a whole workspace: Productboard's export guide says to piece one together from these.
- Step 2
Import into Swingback
Upload each CSV file, and match its columns to the fields: the importer suggests the matches, and you check them.
Every import starts with a dry run that shows what it will create. Boards, statuses and tags map to yours, and running it again adds only what's new: import once to try, and again on the day you switch.
- Step 3
Switch over
Replace Productboard's widget with Swingback's, and move your feedback domain to your portal (a custom domain is on Pro).
Then announce the move in your first changelog entry, so your customers know where to find you.

About this comparison
Everything said here about Productboard comes from its own website, as it was on October 21, 2026. Prices and plans change: check Productboard's pages before you decide.
Productboard is a product management system first, rebuilt around Spark, its AI agent: this page compares only its customer portal and what surrounds it.
Productboard's pricing page lists Business and Enterprise without a price, beside a monthly or annual switch (annual saves 21%) and buttons to request a demo or contact sales. Its help center's Spark pricing FAQ still lists a Free plan, Plus at $25 a maker a month ($19 billed yearly) and Business at $75 ($59 billed yearly). This page follows the pricing page, where its developer docs send readers for current plans.
Productboard's trial lasts 14 days on its sign-up page and in its Spark FAQ, which this page follows; an older help article says 15.
Productboard's developer docs say API tokens take the Pro plan or higher, a plan its pricing page no longer lists. This page follows the pricing page, which includes API access on both plans.
According to Productboard's export guide, feedback from Slack, Zendesk and Intercom exports without its text.
