Swingback vs Frill

Frill gives each workspace one board, and hiding its branding takes a $100 add-on or the $149 Growth plan. Swingback Pro includes several boards, your domain and no branding.

Frill's prices and features as its own pages showed them on October 21, 2026.

Why teams choose Swingback over Frill

  • 01

    Several boards, not one

Frill works with a single board per workspace, split into topics. Swingback gives you three boards on Free and as many as you need on Pro, and each board decides whether its posts show on the roadmap.

  • 02

    Your brand without a $100 add-on

Removing Frill's branding takes its White Label add-on, $100 a month according to its help center, or the Growth plan at $149. On Swingback Pro it's included, with your own domain.

  • 03

Your users signed in, on every plan

Frill's help center puts widget sign-in on Growth and above. Swingback signs your users in with a token your server signs, or with your own sign-in page, on every plan.

  • 04

    AI triage included

Swingback tags new posts, suggests merges for posts that mean the same thing, and holds spam for review, with AI included in both plans.

Migration

Move from Frill to Swingback

Bring your feedback with you, then switch when you're ready.
  1. Step 1

    Export from Frill

    • In Frill, open Settings, then Privacy, then Export Data, and export Ideas, Votes and Comments. Each file links back to user IDs.
    • Export your users under Settings, then Misc: in the Data Export section, click Export Data and choose Users and Followers. Frill emails you a link to the file, with names, emails and custom attributes.
    • Or read everything through Frill's API (https://api.frill.co/v1) with a key from Company Settings, API & MCP: ideas, votes, comments, followers, statuses, topics and announcements.
    • Frill's votes file names each voter by user ID, and Swingback's CSV import takes voters' emails: put each voter's email from the users export beside their votes before you import.
  2. Step 2

    Import into Swingback

Upload each CSV file, and match its columns to the fields: the importer suggests the matches, and you check them.

Every import starts with a dry run that shows what it will create. Boards, statuses and tags map to yours, and running it again adds only what's new: import once to try, and again on the day you switch.

  3. Step 3

    Switch over

Replace Frill's widget with Swingback's, and move your feedback domain to your portal (a custom domain is on Pro).

Then announce the move in your first changelog entry, so your customers know where to find you.
