Why teams choose Swingback over Featurebase
- 01
One price for the whole team
Featurebase charges per seat: Professional costs $75 a month for each teammate ($59 billed yearly), and its free Lite seats can't change a status or merge posts. Swingback Pro covers up to 20 team members for one price.
- 02
Your brand, no add-on
Hiding Featurebase's branding is a $69-a-month add-on, sold only with Professional and Enterprise. Swingback Pro includes it, with your custom domain.
- 03
A free plan with the whole loop
Featurebase's free plan has one seat and one board, and no feedback widget, changelog or AI. Swingback Free has three team members, three boards, the widget, the changelog and AI triage.
- 04
Signed-in users and webhooks on Free
Featurebase signs your users in automatically from Growth, and through your own login page from Professional; its webhooks start on Growth. On every Swingback plan, your server signs a token for your user, or the portal sends people through your sign-in page, and webhooks are included.

Migration
Move from Featurebase to Swingback
- Step 1
Export from Featurebase
- In Featurebase, open Settings, then Data, then Imports & Exports, and choose Export Data: a CSV of every request in the workspace, whose link lasts 24 hours. It leaves out comments, activity history and insights, and a merged request has no row of its own.
- A request's voters export from the request: choose View requesters, then Export CSV, for their names, companies, emails and MRR.
- Swingback's CSV import takes a post's votes as its voters' emails, in a column of the requests file: add each request's requester emails there before you import.
- Comments, users and the changelog come through Featurebase's API (Growth and up): https://do.featurebase.app/v2, with a key from Settings, API. It lists each request's voters too.
- Step 2
Import into Swingback
Upload each CSV file, and match its columns to the fields: the importer suggests the matches, and you check them.
Every import starts with a dry run that shows what it will create. Boards, statuses and tags map to yours, and running it again adds only what's new: import once to try, and again on the day you switch.
- Step 3
Switch over
Replace Featurebase's widget with Swingback's, and move your feedback domain to your portal (a custom domain is on Pro).
Then announce the move in your first changelog entry, so your customers know where to find you.

About this comparison
Everything said here about Featurebase comes from its own website, as it was on October 21, 2026. Prices and plans change: check Featurebase's pages before you decide.
Featurebase has renamed things: its help center says requests, categories, labels, requesters and updates for posts, boards, tags, voters and the changelog. This page uses the usual names.
Featurebase's pricing page shows yearly prices until a plan's “Billed yearly” switch is turned off, which shows the monthly ones. Its FAQ calls yearly billing a 20% discount; the prices it shows save 21% to 23%, and this page follows them.
Featurebase's billing article says its current plans date from December 2025: older workspaces may be on legacy plans, which this page doesn't cover.
